Feetures Elite Light Cushion. How Light is too Light?
Elite Light Cushion Quarter — $19
Editor’s Take
These are really sharp-looking socks. The Surfboard Blue colorway is eye-catching without being loud — deep navy, neon green, and light blue accents that look genuinely good with most shoes.
From a performance standpoint, the compression is excellent. Lockdown is exactly what you expect from Feetures: no sliding, no bunching, no hot spots. They stay put and disappear on the foot, even late into longer runs.
Comfort is where expectations need to be set correctly. These aren’t marketed as a cushioned sock — and it shows. They don’t feel soft, plush, or padded in the way something like the Balega Hidden Comfort does. That doesn’t mean they’re uncomfortable — it just means they never trigger that “wow, this feels really nice” moment.
On runs, I don’t really think about them — which is arguably the goal. The quarter height is great for colder weather, offering ankle protection without feeling bulky. If you value structure, compression, and a locked-in feel over softness, this sock does exactly what it’s designed to do.
